Types of Packaging for Cannabis

We offer two efficient cannabis packaging methods, tailored to each client’s needs and volumes: automatic and semi-automatic. Both systems utilize a multihead weigher, ensuring precise and consistent product dosing, minimizing losses, and guaranteeing uniformity in every bag.

The automated method integrates a multihead weigher with a doypack packaging machine. In this system, the process is completely continuous: the pre-formed doypack pouches are filled and sealed automatically, without human intervention. This allows for high production speeds with complete control over weight, airtight sealing, and the final product presentation. Ideal for large-scale production, it offers efficiency, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.

On the other hand, the semi-automatic system also uses a multihead weigher to ensure accurate weighing, but the bags are placed manually by an operator. Once positioned, the equipment dispenses the exact amount of cannabis into each bag, which is then sealed at a separate station. This method is ideal for medium-sized batches or companies looking to partially automate their process while maintaining packaging flexibility.

Both solutions are designed to preserve product quality, meeting the standards required for packaging medicinal or recreational cannabis.

Weighing and Dosing Cannabis

The weighing and dosing of cannabis buds for subsequent bagging is done using a multihead weigher.
Multihead weighers are ideal for companies handling large volumes of products, including cannabis, medicinal herbs, and aromatic herbs. They can adapt to different types and sizes of packaging, from small 3 or 5 gram bags to 20 or 50 gram bags, making them a solution for high production and precise weighing.

An operator places the bags one by one into the filling nozzle.

If you need to package cannabis or medicinal or aromatic herbs in jars, the process is similar. The operator places the jars one by one into the filling nozzle, and they can then be weighed with a certified precision scale to guarantee the correct quantity of product.
